MEET THE TEAM

The storytellers who make history fun

A great tour isn’t just about the places you see — it’s about the people who bring those places to life. Our team isn’t made up of lecturers or textbook reciters. We’re storytellers, history buffs, and professional gelato enthusiasts who know how to make Rome unforgettable.

All of our guides are native English speakers, masters of making fun, and firm believers that learning is better when you're actually interested. Whether you’re here for ancient ruins, secret underground crypts, or the best slice of pizza in the city, we’re here to make sure you leave Rome with stories you’ll remember (and probably a new favourite pasta dish)."

SO WHO ARE WE?

ABOUT US

Mike and Laura taking a selfie on the plane
So how did we all come together?

Meet Mike, the man behind the stories. Mike didn't just build a tour company - he built a team of expert storytellers who know how to make history unforgettable.

After years of guiding tours solo, he realised that what people loved most wasn't just the landmarks, but the way they were bought to life through humour, passion and a great story. So, he set out to find like-minded guides who shared this belief that a tour should feel less like a history lesson and more like exploring Rome with a friend who just happens to know all the best stories.

Want to hear the full story? Check out Mike's journey.

Ready to explore with us?

Sharing this city with people like you is what we all love the most. We are a team of  I love most. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, my team and I are here to make your time in Rome unforgettable, and filled with memories that will last forever.

About me: Since moving to Rome six in 2017 my passion for Roman history has continued to grow. I have been working as a professional guide for many years, for which I have been awarded ‘Top Tour Leader’ by my company multiple times, for achieving a high level of 5* reviews on Trip Advisor, Viator, and Get Your Guide. As a Mother-Tongue English speaker from Northern England, I like to tell terrible dad jokes and pretend to speak Italian. When I’m not tour guiding, I’m either participating in CrossFit, or watching an old movie. I am very proud to call Rome my home and love to show people the hidden side this amazing city!

Fave tour: Hidden Rome and Bone Crypts

Fave food: Wine from Tuscany

About me: I was born, raised and educated in the US. In 2008 I came to Rome to write a book with the intention of staying a year, maybe two at the most. I wanted a taste of the Roman life. Alas, a taste was not enough. I love being a tour guide because my life is infinitely richer having made the jump here, and it allows me to share my love of my adopted city’s history, art, food and wine with excellent people from all over the world. Speaking of wine, I received the WSET Level II Award in Wines from AccademiaVino here in Rome, so if you need some advice on the vino, I’m your man. Also, my horror and dark fantasy stories have been anthologized in both the US and the UK. But I’m not that scary. Promise.
